Balika Vikash Trust(BVT) was formed in the year 2017, registered under India Trust Act,1908 and under section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act,1961(As per order No ITBA/EXM/S/80G/2018-19/1014587713(1) and approval number CIT(EXMPTION),KOLKATA /80G/2018-19/A/10103 Dt. 26/12/2018 and under section 12 AA of the income Tax Act,1961(Vide order No ITBA/EXM/S/12AA/2018-19/1013476588(1) and Registration No. CIT(EXMPTION), KOLKATA/12AA/2018-19/A/10069 Dt. 02/11/2018, which is headquartered at Guwahati, Assam, India, with an aim of creating awareness towards child trafficking and providing transformational aftercare to girls who have been subjected to child trafficking and/or abuse and in need of care and protection in North-East India and or/other parts of India

Our Goal is to nurture and empower Girl’s towards independence and it is intended that such aftercare will empower the girls to become resilient and independent successful women and ultimately enable them to integrate back into society and become change agents within their communities. Besides many girls are trafficked from this ethnically distinct tribal region to distant parts of India. After rescue and return to Assam, quality care is vital to their recovery and healing.
